I’ve always been more of a verb than a noun. Actions define you. The actions you take, and your reactions to them.
One of my first memories was being told I wasn’t allowed to leave the front yard. I was three. So I packed my little suitcase and took off on an adventure. I didn’t get far, it was hot and the scary man with the aluminum hat who lived down the street, was outside his house. Unable to admit defeat on that hot July day, I hid under the neighbors bushes hoping my mother believed I had made it further than I had. She didn’t. I eventually went home. But I was determined to see the rest of my block.
My desire to see beyond my block, my town, my country still resides inside me. The first half of my life journey was growing up, raising three kids and hustling together a career after some dubious post high-school choices. The second part of my journey includes satiating that desire to go, see, move, do, absorb and share it all.
So why this website? I wanted a place to put it all. The writing, the pictures, the adventures. Thanks for hanging out.
